Drug Ring Busted In Austin

Today's Statesman and several Austin TVs covered a joint police press conference yesterday announcing the bust-up of a "Major Austin-area drug ring" with "ties to Mexico and Honduras."

KEYE TV reports:

According to police, the Austin suppliers were getting their cocaine from a
Honduran distribution organization, which was directly linked to Mexican drug
trafficking organizations. During one of the seizures, the APD Gang Unit seized
22 kilos of cocaine and more than $500,000 in cash, the largest seizure of
cocaine at one time in police department history.

A shout-out here for the good guys!:
The FBI, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Texas Department of Public Safety, Pflugerville Police Department, Round Rock Police Department, Copperas Cove Police Department, Cameron Police Department, Travis County Sheriff’s Office, Hutto Police Department, Taylor Police Department and the Travis County District Attorney’s Office.

Again, check out the AMC series Breaking Bad to understand how such drug rings distribute evil and destroy the productive capacity of human beings.
