Should We Fight to Defend What We Believe In?

Comments to a friend, wondering "Where Will It End?"

They said: "I don’t know, but I am fairly confident that for the rest of my life, there will be no peace in this country, only left vs right, lib vs conservative, unless we are allowed to be free from libs in our own country." They wondered what's the point, if it just goes on and on.

My answer: We didnt choose the fight; it came to us. We either fight against those things that attack our way of life and our highest ideals, or we surrender to it. We either fight for our principles or we don't. The day we give up is the day those principles die. We die with them, because life has no more meaning if we throw in the towel on what we believe in and who we are.

Asking "Should We Fight to Defend What We Believe In?" Is like asking whether we should defend our selves from a would-be killer. If we value our very being, the answer is "Yes".

It could be worse. The scourge of communist empire is no more; we are a prosperous nation, we will never face hunger or pestilence (pray God). Now we face the 'enemy within' that seeks to remake America into something it never was and never should be. Yes it can go on. It must go on, because American ideals of freedom was worth fighting and dying for by those heroes who protected it for us. The least we can do is take up the banner and do our part to stand up for the principles we believe, to make our communities and nation a better place. So lets be happy and encouraged as we stand up for what we believe in. Let's not lose heart because the democratic fight will go on. Let's win hearts and minds to our cause, win people by showing that our cause is the cause of freedom.

"Never give in, Never give in, never, never, never .. " - Winston Churchill, October 1941.
